I have a SARB017 Alpinist with a 2016 serial number and 6R15 movement. I bought it used, do not know its service history.
When I took ownership, I noticed that timekeeping was inconsistent. I put it on a timegrapher and I saw very low amplitude (130 – 160 degrees) and large positional variance (e.g. +20 dial up, -minutes twelve down) with the watch fully wound.
I figured it needed servicing, so I gave it to a local watchmaker who did what he calls an "overhaul". Disassemble, clean…
