People buy watches to celebrate an occasion like a promotion. To me the location of the store where I bought the watch is also important because that makes the location meaningful and creates a feel good emotional attachment when I visit that store again and also creates a nice relationship with the sales staff. This also creates a provenance for the watch. I have bought many used watches from Chrono24 so it feels a bit different.
