I own one Shinola watch (branded as a Filson, but it's a Shinola) – the 715 Argonite, which is a quartz model. Further disclosure: I bought it second hand, so I did not pay MSRP. But I like it a lot and think it is a substantive piece for the sub-$500 price range. And as crazy as this might sound, I appreciate the substantial two-tone case back as much as I like the classic field watch face.
Are they made in Detroit from mostly foreign (read, Chinese) parts or is it even more murky than…
