So after 17 years of owning my Speedmaster professional, I thought it prudent to have it serviced.
After three months with an official Omega service centre, it arrived back running about + 20.
My timegrapher also showed a 1.0ms beat error
Way off being good enough
The amplitude though was much better than it was pre service, at 300 degrees so no problem there
I knew full well that if I sent it back, it would be gone again for weeks on end so decided to wade in and do it myself
