Women’s Cartier Tank pricing

I just randomly stumbled upon a women's Cartier Tank, in Quartz and was pretty taken aback by their pricing. They go for around $4000-6000 AUD pre-owned on Chrono24.

It seems like a basic, steel watch with what I can only assume to be a standard, $50 quartz movement.

What's the reasoning behind the price? Are Cartier "premium" enough that they can charge that much and people still buy them?

I have no problems with quartz mind you, I just expected their $$ to be quite a bit lower…
