New to this, so I’ll try to be brief.
My 1980’s Seiko needs a new movement, I think. Local jeweler tried a new battery and I repeated with another new battery with no success. This watch was a gift from my wife, so it has sentimental value.
The caliber is an 8123, which the Seiko service center said is no longer available.
Can another movement be substituted for the 8123? The watch is in near mint condition, and is basically identical to the SUR434 in the Essentials series.
