this is a question for more experienced manual watches owners.
I noticed very different tactile sensations on older vs more modern manual watches.
older watches from the fifties or sixties, even ones with adequate power reserve and accuracy, seems to give more clickety-clickety-click when winding, while more recent watches seem to wind in a more continuous feeling.
Do you know why this is? Does this have any bearing on the health of the movement or is this just the way movements have…
