Major spd difference determined by night resting position?

Hey everyone, I've got a Khaki Field Auto that keeps very good time when on the wrist (+ / – .9 spd), but it will lose anywhere from 8 to 13 seconds if I lay it on its back with the face up at night. However, if I lay it face down, it maintains its amazing less than a second off accuracy. Anyone else experience major differences in accuracy depending upon their watch's resting position when not being worn?
