Good afternoon
Has anyone changed or used a local jeweller/ watch repair service to change a battery in a Longines VHP quartz?
I sent mine back to Longines expecting a standard battery change at around £90 but they have come back with a quote for £230 for all sorts of work that I don’t think is needed, especially on a watch that I intend to sell soon, and is only worth around twice the service costs
Is it a specialist battery or requires any kind of special repair or is this something any watch battery company should be able to sort!
