I purchased this piece from the original owner and removed it from the bracelet the moment I opened the box. I have worn it around the house on an aftermarket strap(included at extra cost to buyer) with quick-release spring-bars. I could not bring myself to wear it on the pristine bracelet. I will leave the wear and tear to be done by the next owner.
