While I collect and restore 19th Century pocket watches, I found an LL Bean Chronograph (Valjoux ETA 7750 movement) #9446 at a local estate sale (no strap, badly scratched crystal) and paid $10 for it ! Serviced and adjusted the movement, put in a new mineral crystal and matching leather strap then gave it to my son (less than $100 total input). At his workplace, several Executives he was escorting took note and all wanted to know a) where he got it and b) where could they get one !! Liked…
