Over the years I have found out that I do not like screw down crowns. No problem operating them and never had a failure but I can live without them.
I have 4 watches all no date, three of them have pull out crowns. My watch with the screw down crown is my best watch by far but I wear it the least. I have never had a watch damaged by water.
When I first got the watch with the screw down crown I kept it running for a year and a half without it stopping. Now it seems like it gets in the way…
