I was researching something else and came upon a picture of Kurt Cobain with a wristwatch on. It did not take long to track it down:
According to Wikipedia, Tom Peterson was a Portland-area retailer who sold electronics, appliances, and furniture. Curiously, Kurt wears the watch on his left wrist. He was of course left-handed.
