Just saved myself $250 on a new Aquatimer strap

So a few years ago the rubber strap on my Titanium Aquatimer. I finally got a hold of IWC and they wanted $250 for a replacement rubber strap. I had heard a number of years ago to spray the band with silicone and then put it in boiling water. I tried it a few times without luck. Then this morning I gave it one more try. This time I put the band in 165° and let it sit until it cooled to room temperature. Soft and pliable again. Now to track down two keeper loops, the original ones got hard…
