If you could only purchase watches from a particular decade – what decade would you choose?

If you could purchase watches (at the original asking price for the time but adjusted to inflation today, and brand new with box, papers, and warranty) and were locked into only being able to purchase watches produced in a specific decade, which decade would you choose? Keeping in mind that older watches tended to be cheaper to originally purchase (but lack modern material science and innovation).

For myself, I'd look to the 1970s – there are some cool vibrant designs (think KS Vanac)…
