I have been into watches since I was a kid and have ~50+ watches now (down a bit from the peak), but ALL have been less than $300. Our house is paid off, as are our cars (old as they may be). Recently, my youngest graduated college debt free and my father passed, leaving a bit behind for us and the kids.
