I was browsing through some old "WRUW" images on one of the Seiko watch forums and I scrolled past a picture someone posted of an unusual 2000s-era Seiko with the date window at 2 o'clock!
I own one of those watches, two actually, they were released around 2004 with several unusual features, like anodized, functional timer bezels, a 6 o'clock "full day window", hour-notched chapter ring, 24-hour marks, "spear" hands and a cyclops…
