I have been thinking a lot recently about how much watch collecting has changed over the last 15 to 20 years.
What started for many of us as an interest in design, engineering and history now seems increasingly tied to waiting lists, allocations, resale value, social media, brand status, launch-day chaos and forum arguments over details most people outside the hobby would never notice.
