Hanhart question (WW2 and the whole flieger thing)?

WatchUSeek Watch Forums WatchUSeek Watch Forums

So what exactly was Hanhart's role in building Flieger watches during WW2? I keep reading that Hanhart built watches for pilots/navigators, but Hanhart is never mentioned as one of the five German companies that produced the German Flieger watches in WW2. The Hanhart 417 ES is also said to resemble the 1954 model. 1954 would be nine years after WW2 ended…..

So did Hanhart produce pilot's watches during 1939-1945? If so, why are they not listed as one of the five German manufacturers?
