Its probably 2 years since I put my name down for a White Explorer II
I received call from Rolex AD but couldnt take it, so they left a message.
The message was that they had some exciting news and had been able to allocate me a watch.
Strangely, I didnt feel excited by news, especially when I saw retail price of £8,550.
It also appears that they are not in high demand in Grey market.
I have recently bought a couple of White faced watches and at list price not looking good as an investment.
I called back and declined.
I wonder how many calls they had to make to find a buyer?
I do find the attitude and process for buying a new Rolex off putting and wonder how long before discounts will be available, which was the case when I bought a Submariner many years ago.
