I had a thoroughly pleasant weekend in West Sussex at the 82nd Goodwood member’s meeting, made all the more pleasurable by driving my mates 1965 series 1 e-type to our accommodation (a stones throw from the kennels) and back home.
Amongst the highlights for me was watching the beast of Turin competing in the S. F. Edge trophy.
Lowlights was watching Mark Walker lose control of his Darracq 200hp 40 yards before the finishing line, thankfully he was thrown clear of the car and managed to walk away.
There was plenty of exotica on show around the racetrack but this one caught my eye, fans of Retropower will know exactly what’s special about it!
