I’ve been a little constipated lately, so I’ve had a bit more down time to sit and think about things, and it occurred to me that watch aficionados tend to use the word “flex” (as in proudly wearing one’s cool or rare or expensive watch) in a derogatory fashion. The more expensive a watch is, the more severe the crime of flexing appears to be.
Nonsense.
Watches are essentially jewelry, so “flexing” is inherent in wearing a watch and thus unavoidable…
