I was pondering a question posed earlier about choosing quartz vs mechanical at a price difference and it got me thinking. You can’t tell if an analog watch is mechanical or battery-powered if it isn’t running (watch knowledge notwithstanding). You can always tell on a digital watch.
Has there ever been a watch with a digital display powered by mechanical means (manual or automatic)? It can’t require that much power and Seiko has had their kinetic line for years. I don’t mean a jumping-hour…
