Recently picked up a Sub 300 carbon in June, and this issue just arose with the crown.
I unscrewed the crown and pulled it out to the farthest position and the black crown came off the stem.
I unscrewed the crown and pulled it out to the farthest position and the black crown came off the stem.
Looking at the pictures I've attached, it looks as though the black crown is a cap that sits on top of a metal crown, which in turn is part of the stem. The stem still functions perfectly fine, winds the watch, sets the date and time perfectly fine.
