Do you wait until your batteries at dead before replacing?

Was just given 2 dead watches by my wife and as I had one of my own it was battery changing day. I keep record of when I've changed batteries and realized that I have a Tissot PR-100, that gets plenty of wrist time, whose battery was last changed in May 2022. I don't recall if this watch gives the multi second jump as a warning of low battery.

Do you guys wait until a watch is dead before changing or do it on some schedule?
