I've seen numerous threads (pardon the pun) around peoples concerns over screw down crowns and Seiko's use of permanent epoxy/laser welding to secure the tube Into place.
The manufacturing method they use means that in most cases of cross threaded crown tubes, the service centre won't fix the case, they'll simply replace it.
