I rarely use my credit card and when I used it today to book my holiday (well under my credit limit) it was declined (stopped). I rang the bank and was told that it had been stopped due to an "unusual" transaction!( the holiday amount!) I was told to ring the card section on another number to get the stop taken off. I have been ringing all afternoon and can’t get through. "Security" has meant that I have had to give my "secure" information several times already today, to get to speak to the various bank departments (none of which can help). I could just pay with my debit card but I prefer to pay by credit card for the "security"! Bankers? Well, it rhymes with that! Surely, they could ring, text, or whatever to contact me, rather than giving me grief!
