When I took my Elgin Solar (has Citizen echo-drive 2000 circa) in for repair and he replaced the capacitor for it had been drawered for at least a decade plus, due to my career not to get it scratched up in HVAC repair. I asked him which was better Seiko or Citizen. He replied "Oh Seiko is better, easier to fix". Looking at his display cases I didnt see any Citizens but lots of Seikos.
