What’s the deal with Mexican Omega watch bracelets?

I’m curious as to why many Omega watches sold back in the day in Mexico came with bracelets made by Joske’s, Holzer and J/M? There are probably others, and I’m not even sure J/M is a manufacturer and not a code of some sorts. Why were these bracelets only available in the South American market and why did Omega use them?
