Buy 6119R from AD?

I’ve been offered a Patek Philippe Calatrava 6119R by my AD, with whom I’ve built a good relationship over the past year, primarily purchasing Rolex models.
I’m drawn to the timeless elegance and understated simplicity of the 6119R.

However, I’m a bit hesitant due to a few factors:
    •     Wrist Size: I have a smaller wrist, and I’ve read that the 6119R wears quite large. I’m concerned it might overwhelm my wrist.
    •     Retail Price & Taxes: Buying from the AD means paying full retail plus significant California sales tax (~9%).
    •    Gray Market Temptation: The gray market offers the watch at a lower price, though I’m unsure about the tax implications and potential warranty concerns.
