It came up in another thread how a watch might break a lug – pics of polymer cased watch being shown IIRC. Another was, how tough is your G Shock. Sure, depending on the amount of impact force and what polymer used, its possible. Goes to observations about the style of case used appearing 'weak', which given the level of engineering education or experience in the general population are anecdotal, at best.
