Thanks to the kind suggestions received prior to my visit to Las Vegas, I visited a number of fine watch dealers. The most expensive watch I tried on was an impressive sports watch by Jacob & Co., their Epic X Sport at $17,200. I also tried on a Panerai Radomir, which I liked a lot, particularly when the saleslady mistakenly said it was a manual wind. A fellow saleswoman overheard and clarified that it was an automatic. She took it, shook it, held it to her ear, shook it again, again…
