My (short) ~20 year review of my ‘original’ Marathon SAR (2004 contract)

I purchased this watch from the ‘Sales Corner’ back in 2007. Since then, it has been my “do sketchy stuff” watch. It has done exactly what it was designed to do for the 18 years I’ve had it (and it’s 21 years in existence).

If the kids saw Dad wearing the ‘orange strap watch, ‘ things were about to get fun. (80% of its life it was wearing some type of orange strap, 20% on the bracelet).

What percentage of people posting images of their Rolex on other sites… are posting fakes?

As i scroll r/rolex or watchcrunch and see people posting “got the call”.. it’s sad how my first response is “well, that’s fake”.

I need a picture of a champagne flute sitting on a display case behind the wrist shot for me to think its real, but my 2nd thought was “he was just trying it on”.
