I know, I know! You’ll be bored of my vintage G threads soon😂

Here I go again!

After some of my recent finds and subsequent restorations, I’ve kind of decided to try and make a collection of “classic” vintage G’s other than 5xxx’s. I’ve had, and flipped, a number of different models over the years, but this time I’m picking particular ones and keeping them:).

This one is a DW-6100, gold edition. I had it on watch and got an offer last night, which seemed fair to me, totalling £60 and a few pennies. It was actually a dual watch lot, the other one…

Bargain GW-3000B👍(Not a vintage restoration thread😂)

I was just on one of my G-Shock searches on eBay, and happened across this beaut. I actually have one already, so this will probably be flipped for a half decent profit as long as it works, which it should.

The seller had it listed as not working after a new CTL was installed. It should just be a case of AC reset and then set the watch. It won’t need sun because the CTL batteries come fully charged.

Nothing else to say, apart from it was on a Buy it Now of £57, or Best Offer👍, he…

USA purchase query – SORTED, NO NEED TO REPLY

Firstly – Mods, if this is not allowed please just delete, thank you.

Ok, some of you will have seen my thread about the AWG-M500KG I’ve had delivered but has the wrong colour resins fitted. I’ve got a bezel on the way, but the straps are discontinued so virtually no chance to get any.

@Viper45 suggested a velcro band used to be made for the 500 as a possible option but I can’t find any.

I have, however, with different search combinations, happened across an Etsy US…

My first Casio calculator watch – Vintage of course!

I can’t stay away from vintage Casio’s at the moment😂.

I just won this on an offer of £20 this morning, CS-831. Looking on Digital Watch.com, this is from 1983.

I think the seller photos make it look a little worse than it will come out after a clean up. Don’t get me wrong, it’s far from pristine but hopefully will look nicer after I’ve worked on it.

It was being sold as “somewhat working”, with the seller saying they couldn’t set it up. The buttons look a little rough, but being that…

Yep – A other vintage restoration😂

I’m really enjoying doing these resto’s on vintage G’s at the moment, and I grabbed this from eBay UK the other day for just £17, making it ideal for being able to spend out on the bits I need.

So this one is a DW-002, in a poor state, but that’s only looking cosmetic rather than damage.

I’ve already thrown the original velcro/fabric strap. Apart from the fact it just would never have cleaned up properly, I’ve never liked them because they make the watch stand up way too tall on the…

Vintage pair – Ebay JP pickup

Just a quick thread to show a pair of old G’s I won on a Best Offer at £50 for both, which I thought was pretty good for them.

So first is a DW-8800 Codename, which I’ve always found kind of amusing for the little list of “emergency” codes engraved on the caseback. They actually have a lot of features for what is to look at, a normal digital G-Shock. This is a snip of the first page in the manual:

Here’s the watch, from what I can tell, the bezel…

AWG-M500KG-3A incoming

I love me a khaki green G, especially the KG range, of which I already have a G-6900 & GR-7900. The colourway on these KG watches is really nice.

I happened across the AWG-M500 version by accident on eBay a few weeks back, I think I was doing a search for Casio KG and one of these popped up as a suggestion under a listing. I didn’t know about this model having a KG version so a nice surprise.

Of course nearly all in Japan and as usual, on eBay at least, the Japan ones were stupid prices…

Help with a newly won GW-3000B

Apologies if the answer is here somewhere, but I’ve googled and it’s kind of hard to get accurate info.

So I got this one through today from eBay, in really good condition, I just need to put the resin strap set on, (it came with that included, and the original strap rods too), as it has an aftermarket steel bracelet fitted.

Although that is actually a perfect fit, it’s got very small gaps where it fits to the watch and the rods/pins show which is quite annoying to me😂. Also it’s bloomin’…

New DW-5600BBR-1ER ordered👍

I just saw these on G-Shock UK, there were only 14 left so I caught it on time.

I have vague recollections of seeing somewhere recently that said these were UK release only? Feel free to correct me if wrong.

Officially these are known as Black and Bold Red. They look pretty damn nice I must say, and with a 25% Blue Light discount it was definitely worth it!!

Stock photos, I’ll update with live shots when it arrives:

Nice little vintage Casio W-780 back to life🙂

I won this for just over £25 a few days ago, and got it through yesterday. Sold as not working but I was sure it would be ok.

I like these old, all stainless steel Casio’s, they have a bit of character about them.

These have the 549 module, which has dual time and REM like the 901/691’s did in the 5600C’s/5300’s and probably other vintage Casio’s as well.

So with a few photos, here’s the story from yesterday and this morning:

1. Arrival shots, the crystal and case have marks/scratches…
