What is the hold up that Casio can’t update their GBD-H1000, GBD-H2000, GPR-H1000 with a map on the watch?

I know that the GPR-B1000 has a map but it is $2000 and if you want a map get a Garmin. But all these watches use GPS and you need to download a map to use them. There is a basic map in the Casio App that you can put checkpoints on it and send to the watch but with no maps? Is it so hard to update the watch with a map you can download?

Are these watches designed that you purposely have to remember where you want to go on a map before you start your activity?
