Cartier Battery Change??

[UPDATE (5/22/25): I just learned that having a third party replace the battery will void the warranty (we have about 4 years left on the 8-year warranty).

I’m inclined to go ahead and do the third-party battery change anyway.

But I thought I’d check: would it make more sense to preserve the warranty?]

Hi Everyone, my wife’s Ronde de Cartier needs a battery change.

I just called the AD where we bought it for her–and they said it would need to be sent to Cartier. This would take 8-10…

Tudor BB58 clasp vs Forstner clasps

Hi Everyone! So I have had my BB58 (black) for almost 3.5 years now. I love the watch, but I have always been frustrated by the really long clasp (particularly with the non-articulating link on the 6 o’clock side). It’s just not ideal for someone with a small wrist–like me!

I know that a lot of people talk about Nomos’s long lugs. A factor that does…

Tudor BB58 and Lug Hole Position for After Market Straps

Hi Everyone! I am considering getting an after market leather strap for my BB58 (black/gilt). I am looking at one of Toshi Straps’s amazing offerings.

However, I noticed that the lug hole placement on the BB58 is quite low, near the tip of the lug. Here is a pic:

My question is this: will a leather strap look odd on this watch? That is, will the lug hole placing make the watch stick up a bit? And create a large space between strap and case?

I’ve…
