Rolex BLNR vs JLC Polaris Geographic

Hi – looking for some feedback on each of these from any folks on here that either currently own both or have owned both in the past. I’ve handled both in the metal, and I am aware of the specs and relevant histories of the pieces. To me they are both great in their own right, but I’m looking to understand which you prefer to wear in what occasions and why. And if you previously had both and moved one (or both) on, why?

Thoughts on trade: WG Rolex DD for SS VC 56 DD

Considering trading out an older gen white gold Rolex Day Date 36 (118xxx) for a stainless steel VC Fiftysix Day Date. Would expect a little cash to come my way. Does anyone here own both pieces and can comment? I think I’ve mostly already made up my mind but like to hear what other enthusiasts think and why. Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Downsizing/consolidating my humble collection
