Anyone given up on date complications? Why? Why not?

I don’t know how to make a poll yet, but if you, like me, used to like a date window but have discovered that you’re better off without one, why the change of heart?
Or why am I wrong to give up on our 31 little buddies?

Some reasons for me:

• my 52 year old eyes honestly can’t read 75% of date complications
• when I grab a watch for the day, the date is just one more thing to set. And they’re more finicky to set than the time
• a dial is almost always better looking without one…

Anyone given up on date complications? Why? Why not?
