Anyone els ever have their Ceramic watch case chip? What did you do?

Friend of mine owned an Omega Dark Side of the Moon with ceramic case. Sent me a photo of a chip on the the under side of the case. He was told it could not be fixed. If desired the whole case would need to be replaced. For those of you with ceramic watches, does this sound right to you? He ended up selling it for a pretty big loss.

I am guessing the bondo resin I use on my fiberglass boat would not have worked
