I saw this supposedly 14 KT gold watch on a popular site for $700 I guess these old watches are not in extreme demand. Do you have any watches in your collection that you are considering just melting down for the gold value. The watch listing says the case, crystal and movement weighs 18 grams
I would imagine if the seller went to the trouble of weighing the case only , he knows that this offering is more then the melt down value, but if gold goes up more this could be a melt…
