I recently started traveling a lot for work and back and forth to Fla.
So I was told I should get the Platinum card for all the travel benefits.
So far, I have tried 3 different types of trips with them, and they are always way overpriced.
I am right now on the phone with them. I found exactly what I wanted on Expedia first.
Amex is 3k higher. I politely said "thank you, anyway". They tried to explain the benefit. Breakfast and a carry on is hardly worth 3k. I said thank you, and hung up.
They called me back…
Now they are saying they can price match for me.
Totally weird.
Anyone else use Amex for travel?
