Hi All,
A mum in my village has asked me if I’d help her 14-year-old son build a Gaming PC. He’s into computers, gaming and so on and wants to be a software engineer but has expressed an interest in building one, to give him more insight.

Sounds a great idea to me, but, although I repair PCs for a living -semi-retired – but still do a few, a Gaming PC is well out of my comfort zone, and I’m not clear on a budget yet, but I’m thinking that buying your own case PSU, motherboard and suitable storage, plus the graphics card (which could be £1000 by itself) we must be looking at £2k minimum surely?
Can anyone advise please of give me any pointers, which direction to go, case manufacturers, motherboard makes etc…?
Be most grateful
Thanks
