It may be more than a couple of questions! 
I've never owned a Panerai and the AD is about 115 miles from me so there's that.
So I'm looking at a watch, a Panerai Luminor Marina Quaranta 40mm PAM1372. Something like this:

1. Bezel- Sometimes I see this watch and the bezel looks polished and sometimes it looks brushed…
