iPad Alternatives ([emoji639]x Children!)

Hello everyone, looking for some advice / experience.

I have three children (3,6 and 11) all with iPads, Air 2 and two 6th Generation. I am conscious that they will soon all become unsupported.

The eldest has an iPhone too so is pretty engrained into the Apple Eco system, the younger two enjoy the ease of Apple, particularly the home button.

Perhaps I’ve just answered my own question! However I am considering moving them away from Apple onto Android or similar due to the cost of Apple and also the period before they become unsupported.

So any suggestions or experiences of moving from Apple to Android, particularly for children?

Sorry if this has been covered before, searching iPad on the forum brings up so many search results!
