New old stock Speedy Reduced – servicing question

I was able to pick up a NOS Speedy Reduced here in Tokyo that was originally sold in 2002. My question for the group is this:

How urgent is the servicing requirement?

Normally my service philosophy is to wear it until the poor performance is impossible to ignore.

But with a 24 year old watch, I wonder if that approach is unnecessarily risky. A full service at the Omega service center here in Tokyo will cost USD 1037. How much damage and additional cost am I risking by wearing the watch…
