When buying anything of significant cost or importance, I've always tried to see the item in person if at all possible.
In the case of watches, that's for both looks and wearability. There have been several instances when I was either enamored or turned off by something, only to do a 180 when seeing it in person.
Fast-forward to today: I was at my dermatologist's office, who is a serious watch enthusiast, and he was wearing a NOMOS Autobahn. I'm a big NOMOS fan, but judging by pictures…
