I used to have a hand wind Max Bill, but it always felt a bit small to me, and so I didn’t end up wearing it a lot. Ever since I sold it probably about four years ago I’ve been looking for a good deal on an automatic, and I finally pulled the trigger on a used one on eBay. This time the size feels perfect to me, and I expect I’ll end up wearing this to work more often than not.
I teach engineering design at a community college, which probably partly explains why I’ve always liked reading…
