My beloved SKX173 has not been looked after and even though it has lovely patina (I cycled toured for two years wearing this watch), the movement, despite a service, is just far too inaccurate. I would love to replace the movement with something accurate and functional and it seems a 4R36 would work. I have never done any work on my own watches, but am reasonably handy.
I would appreciate any advice on how to go about a DIY movement swap and what basic tools I should source.
