Seiko 7009s

I am so impressed by the quality of Seiko 7009 movements that are 50 years old. You can generally pick one up in a sleek mid century modern case for around $100. With a little luck you can find one with decent amplitude (190?) and regulate it pretty tightly. Mine is from 1977 (first year I am told) and is at +2s right. We will have to see how long that lasts. I might polish the case and orig band a bit.
