Is a vintage bracelet worth repairing?

I just grabbed a black Seiko Stargate from the Bay.

I wanted a daily wear beater and when I saw this, it was perfect. Pre-beaten. It looked in good condition overall, with obvious signs of wear. Like the patina on a classic car.

Literally the first time I put it on, the bracelet broke. I don't think the seller was pulling a fast one or hiding anything. The watch has clearly seen some use.

Is it worth bringing the bracelet to a watch shop to try and get it fixed? Or, give up the patina…
